PYRIET
Ferro X Ramiro X Roemer
A KWPN "Approved" Dutch Warmblood Stallion

Pyriet is a 10 year old stallion that has successfully completed the 70 Day Stallion Performance Test in Ermelo, The Netherlands where he received the breeding "Approval" of the KWPN stallion committee. An elegant black stallion that stands at 16.3 hands. Pyriet is now competing successfully at M Level jumping (equivalent to intermediate jumpers in the USA). As the fences increase in size Pyriet's abilities are starting to shine. He is a quick and careful jumper with super scope. Pyriet is starting his career in his father's footsteps. Olympic Ferro started out and was successfully shown as a jumper before embarking on his dressage career.
This 'black gem' excels in show jumping with his enormous capability, extreme carefulness at the fence, courage, fighting spirit and light-footed, ground-covering canter combined with excellent character and ride ability.
These qualities are documented by Pyriet achievements with his two riders Saskia Henn and Burkhard Selzer placing in thirty classes in the last eighteen months among them ten victories in Jumper and Open 130 classes.
Talking about his sire Ferro conjures up images of excellence and elegance of the highest degree. He was one in a million in the international dressage arena. On three accounts the imposing black stallion achieved together with his rider, Coby van Baalen, team silver: in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, the 1998 World Championships in Rome and the 1999 European Championships and in1998 sixth and in 2000 fifth in the individual rankings. What only few people know is that before his outstanding dressage career, Ferro was a highly successful show jumper. His off-springs’ are competing successfully at international level in both dressage and show jumping classes.
Pyriet's dam Gerrita unites the top Westphalian bloodlines the coining bloodline founder Ramiro Z as dam sire and the Pilatus son Roemer on the dam's maternal side. A pedigree, which could not be better!

Lineage
While Pyriet's sire Ferro is currently competing at the highest levels of dressage (ridden by Coby van Baalen, he won, not only Olympic team silver in 2000, but also team silver at the 'World Equestrian Games 1998 and EuropeanChampionship dressage 1999), his lineage is more show-jumping oriented. Sired by Ulft, one of the most influential sons of stallion LeMexico, and Farn, his grandsire through "Preferent-Prestatie" dam Brenda. Sire of LeMexico is full brother of well known Furioso II, sire of Voltaire. LeMexico's son Ulft is out of a daughter of Percles XX. This Pia received, apart from "Keur" also the "Preferent" predicate. Her dam Elmi competed at M-dressage and M-showjumping. Young offspring of Ferro are, like their sire, competing mainly in dressage
